Day 01 NEW YORK – NEW HAVEN – BOSTON
Our tour starts with our departure northeast through New York State to Connecticut where we visit the world famous Yale University located in New Haven where among the Alumni we can find former US Presidents, Senators, famous lawyers and more... After our visit we continue to along the Eastern Coast through Connecticut to Massachusetts and to its capital Boston. Our first stop is the city of Cambridge where will find one of the most famous and most prestigious universities in the world Harvard. Our tour starts with a walk in Harvard Yard the oldest academic ground in America. We see Widener library and then rub the shoe of John Harvard for good luck. We continue to a panoramic tour passing by City Hall, MIT and Cambridge College, we cross the Charles River and arrive in the center of the intellectual capital of the country. Visit Copley square with beautiful Trinity church. Next up is a walk along the freedom trail through Boston Common Park. We break for lunch at Quincy Market. Try the world famous Clam Chowder or a lobster roll. After lunch we visit the site of the famous Tea Party and the navy ship Constitution. In the early evening we head north to our hotel for overnight Overnight: La Quinta inn & Suites Manchester, NH.
Day 02 BOSTON – STOWE – TROIS RIVIERES
Depart North through the mountains of New Hampshire crossing into Vermont We stop for a visit at the world famous Ben and Jerry’s factory and then visit the picturesque New England town of Stowe where we can find the Von Trapp family lodge from the legendary film “The Sound of Music”. After our visit we cross the border into Canada and head to the town of Trois Rivieres for overnight. Overnight Trois Rivieres – Gouverneur Hotel
Day 03 TROIS RIVIERES – QUEBEC CITY
After breakfast we head east along the St Lawrence River to the only walled city in North America – Quebec City. Our tours starts within the walls, with the French language spoken and the European architecture; the feel it is distinctly Quebequoise. See the Latin Quarter, Plains of Abraham, Ramparts, world famous Château Frontenac, National Assembly, Basilica, City Hall, Place-Royale the birth place of French civilization in North America, and the Citadelle. We stop for lunch at one of the many sidewalk café’s. After lunch set sail on a captivating 90-minute cruise on the beautiful St. Lawrence River. A costumed guide will reveal the unsuspected history of Quebec City, the river and the surroundings. Relax on the outside terraces and enjoy the exceptional view of the old fortifications, the Château Frontenac, the Montmorency Falls, Île d'Orléans, and the Laurentian Mountains. Day 04 TROIS RIVIERES – MONTREAL
After breakfast we head west along the St Lawrence River to Montreal Canada’s largest French city. Today tour starts with the old town and the Basilica of Notre Dame, then on to the modern part to see city hall, St Joseph’s Cathedral and we will ascend to the top of Mount Royal (the city’s namesake) for a bird’s eye view of the city. From the mountaintop we descend to the underground city which stretches for miles, and includes stores, restaurants, movie theaters and more. In the evening we can visit the old port, including Jack Cartier square. Enjoy the evening watching the street performers and partake in the vibrant nightlife in this area. Overnight Montreal – Comfort Inn hotel.
Day 05 MONTREAL – NEW YORK CITY
Depart Montreal south through the Quebec province, we cross the border to the USA, and continue south along Lake Champlain. Stop in Saratoga Springs, one of the famous horse racing tracks in the country. Stroll through the rolling parks and visit the Saratoga Monument, a 155 foot obelisk commemorating the American Victory in the battle of Saratoga. After our visit to Saratoga we head south to the “Outlet Shopping Mecca” Woodbury Commons. Find your own bargains from brand name stores for less. Evening arrival to New York City.
