Day 01 Auckland
On arrival in Auckland - ‘The City of Sails’ travel by private vehicle to hotel (seat in coach passengers) or collect your rental car at the airport and drive to your hotel (self drive passengers). Remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Overnight stay in Aukland.
Day 02 Auckland - Waitomo - Rotorua
Depart Auckland this morning and head south to arrive at Waitomo for a guided tour of the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves, including an underground boat ride viewing the millions of glowworms on the cavern roof. Continue on to Rotorua.
Marvel at the amazing limestone formations created by Mother Nature. Glide silently through the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto, your way lit by a myriad of tiny glowworm lights glittering, glimmering and reflecting off the water. Then visit the stunning underground scenery commencing with the magnificent `Cathedral`. The acoustics in this cave are world-renowned. Acclaimed New Zealand Diva, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, has sung here and was delighted with the purity of the sound. The highlight of your tour is an unrivalled boat trip through the spectacular Glowworm Grotto. As you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights, you`ll immediately experience a serene atmosphere and be fascinated and intrigued by tiny glowworms that light your way. Your experienced tour guide will deliver a highly informative commentary sharing stories, cultural legends and the natural history of this awe-inspiring region of Waitomo.

Day 03 Rotorua
Today enjoy your Rotorua sightseeing including a visit to Te Puia Thermal Reserve for a guided tour to see boiling mud pools and roaring geysers, and learn Maori culture at the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts institute. Also visit the Agrodome for their world-famous Sheep Show then continue to Rainbow Springs to see local rainbow trout & other native New Zealand animals.
The Grand Rotorua Experience tour includes the boiling mud pools and mighty geysers at Te Puia, carving and weaving demonstrations at the Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, Paradise Valley Springs - award winning Trout and Wildlife Park, a hands on farming experience at the Agrodome Sheep Show and ride the Skyline Gondola for spectacular views over Lake Rotorua.
Overnight stay in Rotorua.
Day 04 Rotorua - Queenstown
Today is at leisure until your domestic flight to Queenstown. Upon arrival at Queenstown airport, transfer to your hotel (seat in coach passengers) or collect rental car and drive to hotel (self drive passengers). The remainder of the day is at leisure.
Overnight in Queenstown.
Day 05 Queenstown - Milford Sound - Queenstown
Follow the southern arm of Lake Wakatipu to Lumsden, and onward to Lake Te Anau. Enter the Eglinton Valley and travel through the breath taking man made Homer Tunnel to reach Milford Sound. Enjoy a scenic cruise on this world famous fiord, dominated by Mitre Peak and the cascading Bowen Falls. After the cruise, return to Queenstown along the same route.

Day 06 Queenstown
Today is at your leisure to explore Queenstown and nearby area on your own and try the endless optional attractions available such as bungy jumps, jet-boat rides, white water rafting, gondola rides, sky-diving, horse-riding and much more. Optional activities are not included in the tour price.

Day 07 Queenstown - Mt Cook - Christchurch
Travel through the Central Otago region and onto the small town of Twizel. Continue north following the shores of Lake Pukaki to Mt Cook, New Zealand’s highest peak. Visit the ‘Church of the Good Shepherd’ at Lake Tekapo before travelling across the Canterbury Plains to arrive in the ‘Garden City’ of Christchurch.
Overnight in Christchurch.
Day 08 Christchurch
Your arrangements conclude today with a transfer to Christchurch Airport (seat in coach) or returning your rental car at the airport (self drive) - check in for your departing flight.
