Day 01 Mandawa
Arrive Delhi. Drive from Delhi to Mandawa.
Check in to your hotel.
Mandawa is the centre of Shekhawati region & often called the `open air art gallery of Rajasthan. This region in North- east Rajasthan is famous for its painted havelis (mansions), which are still homes of the trading community, who most of them are now settled in big cities and have left their havelis at the hands of caretakers or have sold them off or are deserted.
Rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 02 Mandawa - Bikaner (5 hrs approx)

Drive from Mandawa to Bikaner and check in to your hotel.
The desert town of Bikaner was founded in 1488, by Rao Bikaji, a descendent of the founder of Jodhpur, Jodhaji. The old city is surrounded by a high crenellated wall and was once an important staging post on the great caravan trade routes.

Day 03 Bikaner - Jaisalmer (8 hrs approx)

Drive from Bikaner to Jaisalmer. On arrival check in to your hotel.
Deep in the heart of the Thar Desert is Jaisalmer, one of the last princely bastions in the region. The very name Jaisalmer induces a dramatic picture of the utter magic and brilliance of the desert. The hostile terrain notwithstanding, the warmth and color of people is simply overwhelming.

Day 05 Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (7 hrs approx)

Drive from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur en route Osiyan and check in to your hotel.
Osian (Osiyan) is an ancient town located in the Jodhpur District of Rajasthan state in western India. It is an oasis in the Thar Desert, 65 km (40 miles) north of the district headquarters at Jodhpur, on a diversion off the main Jodhpur Bikaner Highway.
Also known as Khajuraho of Rajasthan. Osian is famous as home to the cluster of ruined Brahmanical and Jain temples dating from the 8th to 11th centuries. The city was a major religious centre of the kingdom of Marwar during the Gurjara Pratihara dynasty. Of the 18 shrines in the group, the Surya or Sun Temple and the later Kali temple, Sachiya Mata Temple and the main Jain temple dedicated to Lord Mahavira stands out in their grace and architecture.
Jodhpur
The former capital of Marwar state, was founded in 1459 by Rao Jodha who claimed descent from Lord Rama (the hero of the epic Ramayana). The massive fort - Mehrangarh - came first and around it grew the city of Jodhpur protected by a high stone wall with seven gates and countless bastions. Today, the city has grown to become the second largest city of Rajasthan while still maintaining its medieval character.

Day 06 Jodhpur

Proceed for a Jodhpur City Tour.
This afternoon participate in the most interesting feature of this tour which is a `Village Safari`. Here you will have an opportunity to experience firsthand the authentic rural life of India and its local cultures and traditions. Because of the host family`s special bond with different local communities that goes back for generations, you are taken into homes and received with warmth and affection, an experience that often eludes the ordinary traveler. See how the natives utilize their meager resources to make items of daily use. See the pot maker, shoemaker in action. Visit a few homes and meet the village people to learn about their farming practices and how they keep their animals.

Day 07 Jodhpur - Udaipur (8 hrs approx)

Drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur and check into your hotel.
Also known as the Venice of the East, Udaipur, is an enchanting city. From the lakes in the midst of the sandy terrain to green forested hills where wildlife still abounds, the surprises are endless. And, in the lakes, or by their edges, are palaces straight out of fairy tales, each more beautiful than the other. Founded in 16th century by Maharana Udai Singh, the House of Mewar or Udaipur as it is better known is surrounded by the Aravalli mountain ranges.

Later in the evening enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola.

Day 09 Udaipur - Jaipur

Travel from Udaipur to Jaipur by flight
On arrival in Udaipur check into your hotel.
The rose-pink capital of Rajasthan, is surrounded on all sides by rugged hills, the city was founded in 1727 by the astronomer-king, Sawai Jai Singh II and built according to the Shilpa Shastra, the ancient Hindu treatise on architecture and sculpture. It is a walled city with seven rectangular blocks. The Maharajah`s palace stands in the center of the city amidst lovely gardens. Jaipur is aptly called the `the pink city` of India.
